About Ciara Alexander

 

Ciara Alexander is a Sports Massage & Exercise Therapist with a First-Class Honours degree in BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Therapy. She has worked with a wide range of clients, from those with common niggling back pain to elite athletes.

Her passion lies in helping people recover from injuries, reduce pain, and achieve their physical goals. Ciara brings a calm, knowledgeable, and understanding approach to every session, drawing from both clinical and pitch-side experience.

She has supported professional football teams, international sporting events such as the Gothia Cup in Sweden, major races like the London Marathon and worked in Solent University Sports Injury Clinic. As a former competitive track athlete herself, Ciara understands the physical and mental challenges that come with injury and recovery.  Ciara has most recently worked at a premier healthcare practice in Cardiff, which specializes in injury diagnosis, treatment and prevention. She is currently training to be a yoga teacher and enjoys weight training and running.

Sports Massage Therapy – 60 & 75 Minute sessions

A Sports Massage is a deep treatment that loosens up tight muscles, breaks up adhesion in muscle fibres, and generally focuses on restoring and/or maintaining the full functionality of your muscles. It can help your muscles perform better and prevent injury. Muscle injuries will often heal more effectively with the help of deep tissue massage.

Sports Injury Assessment & Rehabilitation

Identify and treat sports-related injuries through a detailed assessment and include hands-on therapy if necessary. It includes a treatment and a personalized exercise program which combines physiotherapy and elements of osteopathy to aid recovery, improve strength and mobility, and prevent future injuries.

This service includes:

✔️ Diagnosis and explanation of the issue
✔️ Hands-on treatment and/or corrective exercises
✔️ A personalised rehab plan to restore strength and function

 Sports Therapy Session – Follow-Up Session

A 45 minute follow-up session with Ciara to review progress from your initial Sports Injury Assessment & Rehabilitation session, with additional guidance, hands-on therapy (if needed) and an updated follow-up routine to precisely and effectively work on your problem areas.
