What is Lomi Lomi massage?
Lomi Lomi is a therapeutic system originating in Hawaii over 1000yrs ago. It is a masage based therapy that helps unlock old, negative or stuck patterns within the body. It is deeply entrenched in the warm and relaxed attitude of the Pacific culture.
Lomi Lomi is far more than a massage - it is a process that helps the body release on a sub-conscious, cellular level invoking gentle shifts away from even long term pain and stress.
What to expect
Sessions are either an hour or one and a half hours, during which the practitioner creates a unique massage routine based on your personal requirements and uses a variety of massage strokes to ease areas of congestion in the body. Soothing soft tissue manipulation and deeply relaxing stretching motions allow the muscles to open revitalise improving mobility, range of motion and circulation whilst creating an profound sense of well being.
At the end of the session, where appropriate, gentle stretches, breathing exercises or postural alignment exercises are taught to continue the benefits of the massage into your daily life.
