DNA Clinic

The Marlborough House DNA Clinic is part of a network of DNA Clinics set up around the UK in association with DNA Clinics Ltd.  The aim of the DNA Clinic is to offer face to face consultations and support while providing the most accurate DNA test available.  When undertaking a DNA test at the DNA clinic you will be assigned an individual case manager.  They will guide you through your DNA test, take your DNA samples (mouth swabs) and offer you impartial support.  You will be given the choice of how you initially receive your DNA test result, following which a range of counselling options will also be made available to you.  Therefore you can choose the level of support you need as an individual/family.

The DNA test

The DNA test compares the DNA from all individuals involved, to establish whether a biological relationship exists. A DNA test is the most accurate way to determine whether individuals are related. The DNA test carried out at the DNA Clinics Ltd will analyse 16 genetic locations, which is the most accurate DNA test available.

DNA Test (Peace of Mind Paternity Test) - £239

These DNA Tests are for personal information only, as the identities of the individuals involved are not legally verified.

This DNA test is exactly the same as a DNA test that is used in a court of law. It is just as accurate & the laboratory process is identical.

These Peace of Mind DNA tests can save time & money, giving you the answers you need, without long, complicated & costly court processes.

DNA Test (Court Admissible Paternity Test) - £399

A court admissible DNA Test is required if the results are to be presented as evidence in court. The mother, child(ren), & alleged father(s) must all participate in the paternity test.

The difference in price of a Legally Accredited DNA Test compared to a Peace of Mind DNA Paternity Test is due to the legal documentation required & the identity verification necessary when DNA samples are taken from participants.

At the time DNA samples are taken, all test participants must produce 2 passport photos and 2 forms of Legal Identification e.g. Passport, Driving Licence, Birth Certificate. The child(ren)’s Birth Certificate is also required.

A strict protocol is then followed by both the DNA Clinic and the laboratories so that the results of the DNA paternity test can not be disputed in court.
